Montana State University has received a five-year $20 million dollar grant to work with several Alaska partners on health disparities facing Native communities. The project is being funded by the National Institutes of Health. Goals include to grow clinical research capacity in Alaska and Montana through training and collaboration, and to engage Alaska Native and American Indian communities as research co-developers.
The project includes collaborators from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Anchorage campuses, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and Southcentral Foundation.
