Anchorage police investigating multiple gunshots, one injured, at 20th and Muldoon

At 2:08 AM on Sunday, January 31, 2016, Anchorage Police responded to the area of 20th and Muldoon in reference to several callers reporting they heard multiple gunshots.  Shortly after officers arrived in the area, a local hospital called stating an adult male had walked in with a gunshot wound.

Police made contact with the injured male.  While officers were able to establish the male was connected to the Muldoon shooting, he was otherwise completely uncooperative.  After being treated for a single wound to his torso, he was taken to the Anchorage Jail on two unrelated warrants.

Officers were able to locate the shooting scene at a home located on the 2600 block of Havitur Way.  All parties involved were very uncooperative with police.  Evidence shows there was a gathering of people at the home and some type of disagreement occurred.  At least three different weapons were fired multiple times outside of the residence.  The home was struck at least once.

Due to the lack of cooperation, no further information is available.  A stolen vehicle was recovered from the scene.

Anyone who has information regarding this incident, who has not already spoken to police, is asked to call APD Dispatch at 786-8900 (press "0" to speak with an operator).  You may also provide information anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or online at anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
