As heard on Morning Line: 2018 Funders Forum

On November 27, 2018, Alaska Training and Technical Assistance Center will host the 2018 Funders Forum, which will provide an update on funding opportunities, training and technical assistance, as well as a large network of funders.

The Center's Outreach Specialist Richard Perry and regional director Anthony Caole stopped into KNBA to talk to Morning Line host Danny Preston to talk about the event.

"We're working along the same time frame as the BIA's (Bureau of Indian Affairs) providers conference," Perry said. "As we have about 1,500 people in town from all of Alaska, we thought it an opportune time that during part of the day we provide some other organizations -- federal, state and local and non-profits -- to provide information for the people that are going to be here as well."

Funders Forum: Resources for Alaska Native Communities will be 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Cook Hall, Egan Center, downtown Anchorage.

"It's kind of an extra bonus push to share information about what project funding and funding is available and the training and technical assistance end as well," Perry said.

Funders interested in presenting at the event should contact a.caole@3starak.com.

Hailing originally from the Puget Sound region of Washington State, Danny Preston has lived in Alaska for more than 40 years. His career in radio began in 1991, and since 2004 he has hosted KNBA’s Morning Line program. He is also the station’s music director.
