An Alaska Tribe of Kodiakreached an important milestone, when it won a $2.3 million dollar grant to build a plant to process locally grown kelp. The State of Alaska wants the United States Supreme Court to decide whether rural Alaskans should maintain subsistence fishing preference in the waterways of federal lands.
