Governor Mike Dunleavy announced Monday that he has vetoed a bill that would have boosted long-term funding for Alaska’s public schools for the first time in years. A gasoline spill in Juneau’s sewer system shut down half of the Mendenhall Wastewater Treatment Plant early on Saturday morning.
