Gov. Mike Dunleavy announced a pivotal decision on the Eklutna River that will affect the future of clean hydroelectric power generation, drinking water, and fish habitat in the Anchorage area. Four people who died when a plane they were flying in crashed near St. Mary’s last month faced highly variable visibility that caused another plane to turn back shortly before the accident.
