This week on Earthsongs: Inez Jasper is one of Canada’s top Aboriginal musicians. Pursuing the dream of becoming a pop superstar, Inez brings more to her music than just pop. She blends traditional native elements with contemporary sounds to create catchy, upbeat tracks. Jasper’s debut album won four Aborigal People’s Choice Awards in 2009 including “Best New Artist” and “Single of the Year”. Continuing her success, her sophomore release earned a 2014 Juno nomination for “Aboriginal Recording of the Year”.
