This week.... Hailing from Tobique First Nation, Elsipogtog and Burnt Church, New Brunswick, the band Kickin’ Krotch integrates cultural storytelling and Indigenous values into their hard rock/metal music. They are a five piece all Aboriginal (Maliseet & Mi’kmaq) rock band. Member Mike Bernard talks with us of the band’s artistry and their latest self-titled album. Kickin’ Krotch was nominated for the 2014 East Coast Music awards for “Aboriginal Recording of the Year” and has hit number one on the National Aboriginal Music Countdown.
