As an effort to combat Alaska’s high rates of alcohol abuse, KNBA and Recover Alaska have produced a series of mini-documentaries featuring Alaskans telling their very personal and powerful stories of alcohol recovery.
“Day 001: Voices of Recovery” consists of eight video and radio stories told by a diverse group of Alaskans. Each describes their “day one” of alcohol recovery—the turning point in their life and where the journey of recovery has taken them.
The Day 001 video campaign aims to share the message that alcohol recovery is possible and that life goes on after overcoming addiction.
