Anchorage, AK – Early counts of sockeye in Bristol Bay area rivers show a potentially huge run of salmon may be in the forecast, or an early run.
Firefighters are brought in from lower 48 states to help combat more than 70 active fires in Alaska.
The Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program has been recognized by the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government's Ash Center for Democratic Gogernance for innovation.
