Anchorage, AK – The state of Alaska leased nearly 100,000 acres in Cook Inlet to oil and gas developers, with Hilcorp as the high bidder on 19 tracts.
Alaska Democrats took the unusual step of endorsing a candidate in the primary - U.S. Sen. Mark Begich - saying they want their support on the record early.
About 50 scientists met in Anchorage to identify top Arctic research questions for a report that will help guide federal research funding.
