Anchorage, AK – Alaska Department of Fish and Game officials issued citations and seized a thousand pouds of fish from fishers illegally subsistence harvesting king salmon on the Kuskokwim River. Subsistence fishing also has been closed on the Yukon River. Warm weather and melting snow have brought the Matanuska River to flood stage, threatening riverfront properties in Sutton and near Palmer.
