Anchorage, AK – Subsistence fishing for king salmon is happening on the Kuskokwim River despite closures. Alaska teens less physically active than lower 48 counterparts, and fewer are engaging in risky behavior involving alcohol, drugs, sexual activity, and violence. Gov. Sean Parnell called the Legislature into special session a few months ago to address oil taxes, a natural gas pipeline, and sex trafficking, at a cost of $468,000. Legislators passed only the sex trafficking bill.
