Anchorage, AK – Gov. Sean Parnell has taken oil tax reform off the table in the Legislative Special Session. Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act of 2000 would allow grant programs to continue, but tribes say it would diminish their ability to have protective orders enforced. The President of the Great Bear oil development company says he expects to find huge amounts of shale oil in six exploration wells along the Dalton Highway.
