Anchorage, AK – Anchorage voters returned Mayor Dan Sullivan to office, and rejected gay rights, in an election marred by a widespread shortage of ballots. The State Senate has passed a $9.5 billion operating budget, with some money also going into savings. A program using tax credits to draw film producers to Alaska is up before a House subcommittee. A bill being considered by Legislators would allow judges to consider fetal alcohol syndrome disorder in sentencing.
