Anchorage, AK – The Federal Subsistence Board is gaining two new rural subsistence users as members. The two join one other public member and five federal representatives already on the board. The Legislature to begin working on major issues: student allocation funding, state intervention in low-performing schools; agency budgets, and oil and gas taxes. The vessels Healy and Renda are in the open ocean after cutting through hundreds of miles of sea ice to deliver 1.3 million gallons of fuel to ice-bound Nome.
