Anchorage, AK – The Federal Board of Subsistence voted to launch a review of the process for deciding a community's rural or non-rural status, which determines eligibility for subsistence priority on federal lands, which is good news for the southeast Alaska village of Saxman. The village of Chistochina is glad it received a designation that allows it to hunt the Chisana caribou herd, even though the herd is hard to reach and they aren't likely to hunt it.
