Anchorage, AK – The Alaska Department of Revenue will begin distributing Permanent Fund Dividend checks in the amount of $1,174 beginning on Oct. 6, 2011. Missouri Democratic Sen. Clare McCaskill is calling for an investigation of a NASA contract with an Arctic Slope Regional Corporation subsidiary obtained through the SBA 8(a) program. Alaska Sen. Mark Begich says the charges are simply part of a pattern in which she inappropriately and unfairly singles out Alaska Native corporations.
