Anchorage, AK – Earlier this week at the Arctic Imperative Summit in Girdwood, the heads of companies and academicians discussed what melting sea ice means for shipping - not much apparently for the massive container ships, because the Northwest Passage across the top of Alaska and Canada, and the Northern route across the top of Russia, are both too shallow and narrow.
