Anchorage, AK – Inupiaq John Baker, with 11 top ten finishes says bad weather hampered dog training in Kotzebue but his dogs look good. Inupiaq Robert Nelson, also of Kotzebue, hopes to make up for lost training days in the first few days of the race. Other Alaska Native mushers are Yup'ik Mike Williams, Jr. and Inupiaq Paul Johnson. The amount of the carcinogen Benzene in Alaska gasoline is slated to go down in 2012. Dillingham domestic violence program plans to expand thanks to generous state grant.
