Anchorage, AK – The specialized detox and treatment center at the Salvation Army's Clitheroe Center reopened this week. The state had shut down the unit last May after Clitheroe launched an investigation into health and safety incidents but wasn't able to move quickly to fix problems. A state representative says the facility has been a strong provider in the past, and has everything in place now to meet state standards. The state will check on procedures and staffing to make sure the unit stays on track.
