Danny Preston speaks with Chief Executive Officer of the Red Cross Tanguy Libbrecht and Beth Bennett. September is National Preparedness month! Why do we have this month and what does it all mean? Well it is to get people to just stop for a moment, and think about what it means to be "prepared". The Red Cross is getting the public to prevent and alleviate suffering. Some of the things you can do to prepare for the unexpected, such as making an emergency supply kit and developing a family communications plan, are the same for both a natural or man-made emergency. For more information on how you can become more prepared, visit: http://www.redcross.org/alaska or call 907-646 5400.
