The administrator of a tribe near Copper Center has pleaded guilty of working with an accomplice to embezzle $23,000. A tribal board member pled guilty to similar charges in September.

The Kenaitze Tribe on the Kenai Peninsula celebrated the opening of a new health center, 25 years after the tribe began to organize to fight for, create or support governance and programs for subsistence, education, social services, health and cultural and language.
