Anchorage, AK – State Rep. Sharon Cissna to run for Don Young's seat in Congress. Gov. Sean Parnell will call a special session to get an oil tax bill through. The Alaska Senate has a adopted a $2.6 billion capital budget. The Anchorage Assembly has voted not to appoint a special counsel to look into the Municipal election and a shortage of ballots. Arctic sea ice this year was 9th smallest, but is melting slowly.
