As Heard on Morning Line: Ava Earl

Koahnic Broadcast Corporation
Ava Earl and Andy Mullen

Todays guest on Morning Line featured musical artist Ava Earl. She spoke with Morning Line host Danny Preston about her newly released album, Am I Me Yet? She also performed three new songs off of the album with Andy Mullen on the guitar.

Ava Earl is just 15 years old. Born in Anchorage and raised in Girdwood, Earl recorded her first album at the age of 12. “Yeah I actually am 26, don’t tell anyone, I look a lot younger. This is my 20th year as a high school student,” said Earl. Over the past three years, she has performed at music festivals, listening room shows, and popular music venues. Her musical style ranges from acoustic, Americana, and folk.

Tonight at 7 P.M. at the Writers Block, join Ava Earl at her album release party for her third studio album, Am I Me Yet? Fellow artists Kat Moore and Emma Hill will be opening the event. For ticket information, call 929-BOOK or purchase at the door.

Hailing originally from the Puget Sound region of Washington State, Danny Preston has lived in Alaska for more than 40 years. His career in radio began in 1991, and since 2004 he has hosted KNBA’s Morning Line program. He is also the station’s music director.
