As Heard on Morning Line: The ANHC Summer Opening!

Today’s guests on Morning Line featured Kelsey Wallace from the Alaska Native Heritage center and powwow singers, Butch Eastman and Anton Edwards.

Butch Eastman and Anton Edwards are powwow and cultural singers who will be perfomroming at the Alaska Native Heritage Center this weekend. While Eastman teaches at a tribal school, Edwards can be seen creating Hip-Hop and R&B music. What makes the two unique are the cross cultural connection they are able to create with their music. "We do this all the time, he just sings whatever and I follow 

On Sunday, May 13, the Alaska Native Heritage Center will be celebrating the opening of the summer season and Mother's day! The event will feature dancers, meet and greets, games, stories, food and much more! Admission is free this Sunday, sponsored by Target, and it will run from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.   Here are the schedule of events:
