Anchorage, AK – The Save our Salmon Initiative is headed to the Alaska Supreme Court after voters in the Lake and Peninsula Borough passed it by a narrow margin. The play "Winter Bear" is based on events in the life of Koyukon Athabascan Elder Sydney Huntington, and shows how cultural traditions help heal a troubled, suicidal, teenager. A snapshot of a woman standing on the tundra with her dogs and a cardboard sign, "Occupy the Tundra," is traveling around the world.
