The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center raised more than $30,000 in just 2 days to rebuild an animal shelter after it was destroyed by high winds Monday. The Juneau Assembly voted to formally oppose an Alaska Board of Fisheries proposition that would limit Southeast Alaska hatchery production of pink and chum salmon by 25%.
