courtesy of americanredcross.org

KNBA keeping you in tuned with Our Community! In today's segment, Danny Preston speaks with Regional Disaster Program Officer of the Red Cross Anchorage, Kelly McGuirk, as well as Regional Communications Offficer,  Beth Bennett. Coming up, there will be about 20 classes offered over four days across the state, which include shelter management, operations, restoring family links, and many more. Making sure communities can take care of themselves and having the right skill sets helps speed up the process of being prepared in any emergency. Volunteers are needed at all levels in the state of Alaska and are encouraged to take the courses being offered in the upcoming month, from October 23-26.
