Our Community - Cook Inlet Housing!

KNBA keeping you in tuned with Our Community! In today's segment, Danny Preston speaks with Director of Public Relations at Cook Inlet Housing, Sezy Gerow-Hanson! Recently, Cook Inlet Housing Authority just received the ArtPlace Community Development Investments grant! It is a 3 million dollar, three year grant that aids in developing arts and culture, together as one. Over 260 applicants applied, Cook Inlet Housing was chose. as one of the grantees! Through Cultural Asset Mapping, the organization will be able to collect data through photos, surveys, speaking, story telling, and etc. Obtaining data this way provides Cook Inlet Housing a holistic picture of a community and how these assets work together in order to make something greater for a community. The overall process is just in the beginning stages and artists are needed for their opinions! Artist's are able to give input via forums to the Cook Inlet Housing authority, which aids in utilizing the Artplace grant in the most benfcial way possible.
