The Anchorage Concert Association came into talk with KNBA's Morning Line about its celebration of the arts, Anchorage Concerts All Access.
Executive director Jason Hodges and community engagement director James Fredrick said the event will include live and silent auctions, food and drinks, and multiple artists and groups.
"It's our big event that kind of gets things started for our year. It takes you through everything that we do best when we put on a show," Hodges said. "It takes you through food, takes you through wine, and it takes you through music and performing arts. And it's going to be happening at the Performing Arts Center (Alaska Center for the Performing Arts) on Thursday starting at 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock."
Tickets are $50 in advance and will not be available at the door.
"This year we are going to incorporate around 25 individual local artists this year, of all different kinds of all different disciplines," Fredrick said. "We'll have folks walking around doing pop-up concerts, we'll have a private song booth where we'll have an artist writing songs for people on the spot. ... A small, abbreviated version of Parlor in the Round."
Kat Moore of The Forest That Never Sleeps will be one of the pop-up artists. She performed "Gilbraltar" on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, on KNBA's Morning Line.
